Inter Divisional Secretariat Cricket Tournament 2020 - Mahawilachchiya

The Anuradhapura District Inter Divisional Secretariat Cricket Tournament which was organized by Mahawilachchiy Divisional Secretariat was sucsessfully held on 29th February 2020 and 01st March 2020 under the patronage of Mahawilachchiya Divisional Secretary Mrs. Manjari C. Chandradasa.

This event was organized to enhance the cooperation among the government officers in Anuradhpura District Divisional Secretariats and enhance the physical fitness of government officers. In thisi event Thirappane Divisional Secretariat Won the tournament by beating Horowpothana Divisional Secretariat team in finals, while the home team Mahawilachchiya Divisional Secretariat won the 3rd Place.

Commencement of Duties , Year 2020

The commencement of official duties for the New Year was held on 1st January 2020 at the Mahawilachchiya Divisional Secretariat, After the chanting of Pirith and hoisting the National Flag. The event was followed by singing of the National Anthem,two minutes silence was observed to commemorate the war heroes and others who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the motherland and taking the Oath of public servants.

Mahawilachchiya Divisonal Secreatary Mrs. Manjari C. Chandradasa addressed the staff , on the theme based on the necessity of ensuring the prompt, honest and unwavering contribution of all members of the staff to create a productive citizenry , a happy family and a disciplined society.
